My Bio
I am Becky Garrett, and I've had a camera in my hands since 8th grade, and I've never put it down. The camera has changed a few times, but my love of the art hasn't. I chose “Stop and Consider” as the name for my photography because there are times when I am just struck by the simple (or is it intricate?) beauty of God's creation. I am inspired by the ecstatic joy and awesome power that can be found simply in the center of a flower, or a stand of aspen trees, or even a city street. I spend my time stopping to consider God's wonders, and I hope that with the help of my trusty Canon, you can too.

I was born and raised in Colorado, and I believe that colored my idea of beauty for good. There is nothing like wandering around the mountains taking in the crisp air and breathlessly (not entirely from the lack of oxygen) admiring the incredible blue sky and the general splendor of the aspen and pine forests. However, when I moved out of the wild of the Yampa Valley and into the "big" city of Denver, I discovered the magic that a city street could hold, the secrets of an alleyway, and the life on the faces of of the passersby.
